<3 FLOWERING TREES <3 This one is the Jacaranda mimosifolia. AKA jacaranda. AKA the fern tree. Purple is a relatively rare color in nature. It’s my understanding that the purple color in plants comes from chemicals called anthocyanins, which serve as protection from the sun’s UV rays.
